If I Built a School Challenge

All Holmes County students are invited to participate in the If I Built a School Challenge, inspired by the book If I Built a School by Chris Van Dusen, who recently won the Holmes County Mock Caldecott.

Challenge Categories:
*Informative Essay (500 word maximum)
*2D Artistic Work (12”x12” maximum, your choice of medium)
*3D Display (12”x12”x12” maximum, your choice of materials)

Prizes will be awarded by age group, within each of the three categories. 
Preschool-third grade
Fourth-eighth grade
Ninth-twelfth grade

All entries must be delivered to Main Library in Millersburg or East Branch in Walnut Creek by Thursday, April 30th. Entries will be on display at the public library. Judging will take place in May.

We are incredibly grateful to Tekton Engineering, Holmes Center for the Arts, Ivan Weaver Construction, and retired teachers of Holmes County. They will be judging the entries and donating prizes for the winners.
